Free Consultations ($0):
Thinking about updating your bike, replacing old or worn parts, or even buying a new or used bike? Contact me via email (bronson@silvascycles.com) and we can arrange a phone call to toss some ideas around
Tune Up ($40):
Adjust derailleurs, shift levers, brakes and brake levers for performance and safety. Check for any loose or worn parts and do a minor "truing" to your wheels. After a Tune Up, your bike will shift better, stop better, run more quietly and be safer to ride.
Clean, Lube and Adjust ($70):
All the services of Tune Up, plus clean your cassette/freewheel, clean and lubricate your chain, and adjust your headset and bottom bracket.
Overhaul ($150):
Everything that's included in the "Tune Up" and the "Clean, Lube, and Adjust", plus disassemble, clean and lubricate all the major components on your bike: front and rear hubs, headset and bottom bracket.
Custom Wheelbuilding ($50 labor + parts):
Hand built wheels are meticulously crafted using a VAR (beautiful, functional, and professional) truing stand, a DT Swiss digital spoke tensiometer, and a precision dishing gauge. When built with the proper tension, stress relieving, and spoke preparation wheels last many thousands of miles.
Component Installation ($5-$30 per component):
You are welcome with parts and components that you purchased through mail-order, over the internet, or via an "online auction". Buying your parts and components through these channels is a great way to save money. I have some common components on hand like brake and shifter cables/housing and brake pads at a reasonable price.
Frame Prep ($20-$100):
Are you building a frames and need to ream/face the head tube or tap/face the bottom bracket? How about facing the fork crown race seat or chasing the threads on the steerer tube? I also have cold setting tools should you need to sort out a bent derailer hanger, straighten some dropouts, or just check to see if you frame is straight.
